Squaw Valley Ski Resort Shuttle
Outdoor Adventure Center
6:30 AM–8:00 PM (return times are approximate depending upon road conditions), Cost $13
Sign-up deadline: 25 November. Get on board the OAC ski shuttle as we take you to Squaw Valley ski resort. Active duty personnel with a valid ID ski for free, kids 12 and under are only five dollars, or you can purchase your discounted lift tickets at the OAC. Sit back and relax after a long day of skiing or boarding--you can even take a power nap on the way home. Even if you’re not a skier, Squaw Valley offers a day full of opportunities. Visit the Villages great selection of shops and restaurants, ice skate, ride the gondola or checkout the Olympic History Museum. Don’t forget to pick-up your discounted ski and snowboard rentals at OAC—kids rent for 1/2 price!! Fit Factor

Money Matters
Money Matters promotes financial responsibility and independence among Club members by building their basic money management skills. Participants learn how to manage a checking account, budget, save and invest. They also learn about starting small businesses and paying for college.

Career Launch

Webtech:
Introduction to the principals and practice of web page design and development. Youth create simple, one-page site with text and images and then advances to build more robust sites with page links, graphics and sound. Ages 9-18 • FREE for mems, $1 for non-mems.

Teaches youth internet safety skills through engaging activities and offline interaction. Ages 9-18 • FREE for mems, $1 for non-mems.
Skilltech: NEW!
Master valuable computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets. Youth will also emphasize the technology skills on computer hardware, networks and internet. Ages 9-18 • FREE for members, $1 for non-members.
Musictech:
Explore a vartiety of software applications and basic theory. Youth will learn to write sheet music, mix musical loops, compose and record original songs. Begin learning the fundamentals of guitar, bass guitar & drums and expand your talent by creating music. Ages 9-18 • FREE for members, $1 for non-members.
Designtech:
Youth learn artistic concept and technology skills to create quality print materials and animation. Ages 9-18 • FREE for members, $1 for non-members.
Phototech: NEW!
Members take digital photos, explore the effects of distance and angle, and learn about photo composition. They also learn digital photo manipulation, from basic photo editing tasks, such as cropping and adjusting color and light, to advanced projects that require image filters and layering. Movietech: NEW!

Members will work together to construct a newspaper of the changes going on these days, such as music, fashion, and gaming. They will also advertise activities going on in the Youth Center. Creative Writing: NEW!
Members will learn how to write creative pieces for music, journalism, poetry, or just stories that they come up with. They will be printed and the best piece of the month will be selected by the newspaper team to be posted in the monthly newspaper. Ages 9-18 • FREE for members, $1 for non-members.
