Recce Challenge Adventure Series
February | May | August | November

The Recce Challenge, originally founded in 2005 by a group of Beale SVS officers and staff, noteably Maj Patrick Whelan (now LtCol) and Deputy Director Bill Baltzell, which was designed to enhance the physical-training (PT) requirement of Airmen and to competitively challenge the fitness of Airmen and civilian athletes in a number of fun, strenuous, physically-demanding sports. The events are held on Beale Air Force Base property which boasts many acres of open space and a safe environment to host this event.
The Recce Challenge, organized by the Beale AFB Harris Fitness Center, has evolved into a series of four events held throughout the calendar year. These "Challenges" are open to any Airman, military or civilian athlete - grouped into catagories; gender, age, and /or teams when appropriate. Winners are presented trophies for their age, gender, and team categories.
