Relax and unwind after a hard day’s work as we travel to Negro Bar on Lake Natomas and paddle under the mysterious light of a full moon. We will fire up the BBQ for a lite lakeside dinner and for a special treat we’ll cook up a yummy dessert in a dutch oven!! OAC will provide the kayaks, paddles and lifejackets along with your dinner and dessert. Please bring your favorite beverages and extra water for your evening adventure. This trip will fill FAST, so sign up quick! Both tandem and single kayaks will be used on this trip.

Sierra Buttes Hike
Outdoor Adventure Center

The Sierra Buttes with their craggy peaks and spectacular pinnacles stretch to almost 9,000 ft. They are also one of the highest peaks besides Mount Lola to the east and are a part of the Pacific Crest Trail. On this trip we will hike to the look-out tower atop the peak where views can be seen for over 250 miles! This hike is strenuous, but not technical, so no skill is needed. After the hike we will stop at one of the many lakes in the area where you can relax under a tree, swim or catch some sun. It is recommended that you bring a hydration pack and/or a backpack (available at OAC), pack a nutritious lunch and snacks and plenty of water. A more detailed list of recommended items to bring will be available at the OAC. We will make a quick stop for dinner on the way home. Come join us for this awesome opportunity you will never forget it.
