Summer Reading Program 2008
Hub Zemke Library
Open to registered children of the Hub Zemke Library.
Sponsored by the Officer’s Spouses’ Club (BOSC) & Beale Bowling Center.
Children pre-school to 12th grade read a specified amount of books/pages for their age range and get a prize upon completion. Children who can not yet read themselves can get credit for having books read to them.
1st prize winner for $25 is Lindy Abinante
2nd prize winner for $15 is Arielle Khosla
3rd prize winner for $10 is Wesley "Taylor" Riopel

Poetry contest divided into 4 categories by age:
#1 First - Fourth Grades,
#2 Fifth - Eighth Grades,
#3 Ninth - Twelfth Grades,

Hub Zemke Library
The library supports quality of life, and also provides mission support to base and tenant organizations and to the Education Center.
A library card allows active duty, retired, civilians, and family members a wide range of products and services.
The library has more than 200 periodical titles, including children's magazines, to browse and check out, as well as current best-selling books, both fiction and non-fiction. Many new books arrive each month and the NetLibrary online web site offers more than 40,000 eBook titles.
The library also hosts a paperback exchange book program. A computer lab offers numerous online resources, email, and free printing.
There are many adult and children's audio books, educational and recreational videos, and 1000 music CDs. Inter-Library Loan Services provides access to the collections of many other libraries. |

ACCESS RESTRICTED: Research tools below are purchased by ACC Base Libraries and can be accessed from their computer labs. Some of these products are also accessible from the AF Portal Library page; or from home, using a dedicated username and password.
