Child Care For Volunteers Program
The Child Care For Volunteers Program is funded by the Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) and maintained by the Airmen & Family Readiness Center (AFRC) [WEBLINK]. Volunteers who are registered with the Airmen & Family Readiness Coordinator in Family Support are eligible to receive child care in Family Day Care Homes during the hours they volunteer. Those who volunteer through the Red Cross, Air Force Aid Society, or Airmen & Family Readiness Center for twenty (20) hours or more a week are eligible to receive free child care services in a licensed FCC home. Volunteers for the Thrift Shop or fundraisers are not included in this program. Please call the Airmen & Family Readiness Center at (530) 634-2863 for more information.

Child Care For PCS Program
A PCS move is never easy and children can feel stressed too. The intent of this program is to provide parents the opportunity to have their children cared for while they are getting ready to leave a base or arrive at a new base. Air Force military members who are 30 days from PCSing in or out of Beale AFB can receive up to 20 hours of child care per child in Family Child Care Homes. Certificates are distributed at the Right Start and Smooth Move Seminars or can be picked up from the Relocation Managers at the Airmen & Family Readiness Center [WEBLINK]. After your certificate is obtained, you will receive a current FCC roster to choose a FCC provider for the .The certificate must be shown at the time care is provided to verify eligibility. Family Child Care registration forms, such as the AF 1181 must be completed before care can be provided. Please call the AFRC (see above) for more information.

Extended Duty Care (EDC)
Extended Duty Care Program offers child care in a licensed FCC home to parents who require child care arrangements beyond the normal 50 hours a week. Extended Duty Care is available for active duty military, reservists, and DoD employees who need care for mission-related duty, extended workdays, temporary shift changes, unplanned weekend duty, and rapid mobilization or deployment. Care is provided at no cost to the military member. If you are interested, please contact the Family Child Care office by e-mail or call our office at (530) 634-5655 or DSN 368-5655. In order to enroll, you must:
1) Obtain written verification from your supervisor stating that you may need to work beyond the normal workweek or may experience temporary shift changes.
2) Identify your anticipated need for EDC to the FCC Coordinator.
3) Contact the FCC Coordinator to discuss child care needs, provider qualifications, and program procedures.
4) Fill out AF Form 1181, Air Force Youth Flight Program Patron Registration. You may also find this form at http://www.e-publishing.af.mil. You may e-mail this form, or fax it along with the letter from the supervisor to 634-5635.
5) Submit AF Form 357, Family Care Certification (when applicable).
6) Make sure if you already have these forms on file with another center, such as the Child Development Center, or another provider, please have notify our office or have copies sent to our office.

Returning Home Care (RHC)
The Returning Home Program is designed to provide an opportunity for deployed parents to become acquainted with their family again. Returning Home Care is a free child care initiative available to active duty, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve members returning from deployments of 30 days or more OPERATION Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) deployments (not for regular deployments). This care is exclusively provided in our Extended Duty Care Homes on a space available basis. Each member may use up to 16 hours per child for children 12 years and under. Interested persons may contact the FCC office by e-mail, fax, or call (530) 634-5655.

Subsidy Care For Full Time Child Care
The Family Child Care subsidy program will help working parents find high quality and affordable child care services. Parents seeking full-time (35-50 hours per week) care will be set on a fee sliding schedule with six categories based on Total Family Income (TFI). Pay rates are the same as those of the Child Development Center and School Age Program. If you are interested, please e-mail our office or call us at (530) 634-5655. If you would like to get the process started immediately, simply fax our office:
1) A copy of the most recent LES,
2) 4 weeks of the spouse’s most recent pay stubs or
3) The spouse of the active duty member, DoD employee, or Armed Force Retiree’s current full-time schedule of classes and a copy of tuition payment to verify enrollment and full-time status;
4) The name of the provider your child(ren) will receive care from (when available).
5) Form DD2652 DoD Child Care Fees filled out.
