Project CHEER began in 1999. The 9th Force Support Squadron understands how difficult it is to be away from home and strives to maintain an increased level of support for the single Airmen, newly arriving personnel and families of the deployed, as well as the entire Beale community.

Snow Play & Tubing Day at Soda Springs Resort
Outdoor Adventure Center
8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Cost: $25 (Tubing or Planet Kids), $15 (parents accompanying kids at Planet Kids)
Sign-up Deadline: 23 December
Need to get the kids out of the house after all the Christmas Festivities? Join OAC for a full day of sledding and playing in the snow at Soda Springs, Tahoe’s best snow park for kids! The park has 10 lanes to sled down and the Magic Carpet which will take you to the top of the hill. Kids must be 42” tall to ride the Tubing Lanes. Planet Kids is geared for kids 10 and under or under 42”. It includes 2 merry go rounds, a moving carpet, a tubing carousel, and tubing lanes. Let the OAC staff know how many tickets you need for tubing and for Planet Kids when you sign-up. Your cost includes, ticket, transportation and free snow bibs for the kids - plus, OAC will supply hot cocoa & cookies for the ride home. 634-2054

Teen Snowboarding Trip

Sign-up by: 22 & 24 December.
Mix 380 acres with 500 vertical-feet; add snow, and you have a mountain ready to be cut. Boreal is a great place to start getting your shred on. Boreal has a Mini-Shred parks which is easier to master and help build confidence before stepping into the larger parks. Cost includes transportation, lift tickets, boots and board.
Teens without boots and board will need to go to the Outdoor Adventure Center (OAC) to be sized and have their parents sign a waiver form by 22 & 24 December. The OAC closes at 5:00 pm. 634-4953

Bounce House Fun @ OAC

Cost: $5 (children 2 & under FREE)
Get your kids out of the house to release some of that pent up holiday energy and swing by the Outdoor Adventure Center as it is transformed into Kiddie Land for a few fun filled hours! OAC will set their bounce houses, spider web wall, climbing wall and slide (weather permitting) for the kid’s enjoyment. Games and fun for all ages—we will even designate a bounce house for children 3 and under! Bring a sack lunch or purchase lunch at the event. OAC will be grilling up hot dogs, hot cocoa & cider. FREE popcorn for all! Children MUST be supervised by a parent or guardian. Don’t forget to check out OAC’s after Christmas bargains! 634-2054
