Project CHEER began in 1999. The 9th Force Support Squadron understands how difficult it is to be away from home and strives to maintain an increased level of support for the single Airmen, newly arriving personnel and families of the deployed, as well as the entire Beale community.

2011 PROJECT CHEER EVENTS

December 7th & 14th • 5:30pm - 10:00pm
Victorian Christmas in Nevada City
Cost: $14 - Adults, $7 - Children (ages 12 & under)
Historic downtown Nevada City is the perfect setting for this Holiday event. The streets are closed off to traffic, and the town is thrown back into time. Costumed store merchants, musical entertainers and street vendors fill the town, while the smell of roasting chestnuts, hot cider and mulled wine fill the air.  Enjoy any of the scrumptious restaurants, cafes or historic bars and pubs in downtown Nevada City. Don’t be surprised if Father Christmas or a Christmas elf strolls by.

Great Dickens Christmas Fair

Cost: $40 Adult / $30 Child (ages 5-12)

This annual San Francisco tradition features hundreds of costumed players, colorful characters from literature and history, and winding lanes filled with shoppes, pubs, and delicious fare.  Like no other event in the world, the Great Dickens Christmas Faire transforms 100,000 square feet of exhibition halls into a Victorian Christmas card come to life.  Trip includes admission and transportation.

Cost includes transportation, lift tickets, and equipment. Teens without boots and board will need to go to the Outdoor Adventure Center (OAC) to be sized and have their parents sign a waiver form by December 15.

*Project CHEER is open to all Beale officers, enlisted personnel, base civilians and their immediate families. Need not be present to win prizes the night of the finale. Prizes subject to change at the discretion of the Marketing office. Beale Marketing and their employees are ineligible to win prizes. There may be a fee charged to attend events.
